Juan Dolio is just past Boca Chica, on the Caribbean coast of the Dominican Republic, 1 hour from the capital, Santo Domingo. Juan Dolio are two golf courses (Guavaberry Golf and Country Club, Metro Country Club).

It is one of the closest beaches to the capital that attracts a lot of people on weekends and holidays, especially in the popular Guayacanes beach. On weekends and public holidays, the inhabitants of the capital come and enjoy the beach and the sea.

Juan Dolio has a few all-inclusive resorts, hotels, aparthotels and many villas with swimming pools that serve as second homes for wealthy Dominicans in the area.

As for Boca Chica, one of the main advantages of Juan Dolio (in addition to the beach) is its proximity to Santo Domingo and the Colonial Zone, which makes it possible to visit the capital and make purchases in the large shopping centers (Sambil, Agora Mall, BlueMall, Acrópolis, Novo-Centro, Megacentro...).
