Sosua is a town north coast of the Dominican Republic, 27 km at the east of the city of Puerto Plata and 8 Kms from the Gregorio Luperon International Airport and 15 minutes from the tourist destination of Cabarete. Sosua is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic and is amongst the main tourist attractions in the Caribbean.

During the dictatorship of Rafael Leonidas Trujillo, a thousand Jews with their families settled in Sosúa, fleeing Nazi persecution in Europe. Legacy of this community is the synagogue that today you can visit and who always celebrated the Jewish holidays.

Since the eighties, Sosua began to become important tourist center and now has many resorts along beautiful beaches, but that has preserved the peace of a few decades ago, when Sosua was a small village fishermen.
Sosua has many hotels and aparthotels, restaurants, shops, nightclubs ... The nights are lively! In addition to beautiful beaches to enjoy the sun, there are many tourist attractions in the province of Puerto Plata.
