Presentation of the aparthotel in Las Galeras
We spent a weekend in Las
Galeras (Samana Peninsula) in 2010 and we stayed at the
Aparthotel
La Isleta (Islet in english) which offers 7 apartments which
are situated in the center of the village within 5 minutes the beach.
The hotel is well located in the main street before arriving at
the beach of Las Galeras is the last street on
the left.
This accommodation
in Las Galeras is close to everything, restaurants, bars, colmados
(grocery) of the village, in a quiet and noiseless place.
Las Galeras is a small village, it is easy to get around on foot.
On the beach of the village which is also the port, small boats
take visitors to the nearby beaches (Playa Rincon, Playa Fronton,
playa Madame...). Las Galeras and area have beautiful tourist
attractions such as the beaches, El
Limon Waterfall, Park Los Haitises...
La Isleta Las Galeras
La Isleta
is composed of two main buildings housing apartments facing the
bay of Las Galeras, they are located in an ornate
and well maintained garden.
The apartments can accommodate up to 4 people, they all have a small
kitchen, a living room, a terrace with a table, a bathroom with
shower on the first floor, 1 bedroom with a double bed.
They are decorated in a Creole style with bamboo, wood and bright
colors. Note that La Isleta has no air conditioning,
but the sea breeze of the ocean with the fan are enough to sleep
well.
The residence has a parking, wifi and a jacuzzi.
Our review on the stay
We spent a weekend in one
of the apartments of La Isleta. They are small enough, the entrance
is through the terrace where a table with benches, on entering the
apartment there is the kitchen which is well equipped enough, a
bar with two stools and wooden staircase and bamboo to reach the
room.
Then there is the living room where can sleep two people and the
right bathroom.
The bedroom on the first floor is spacious with a large bed, a mosquito
and ceiling fan. A window overlooks the garden.
We enjoy to go to Playa Rincon, beautiful beach, the arrival by
boat in the bay is impressive, with background in the huge beach
with coconut trees which is surrounded by small green mountains
and azure blue sea.
Conclusion
La Isleta is well
ocated in Las Galeras and close to everything, the hotel
is good for vacation and visit all the Samana Peninsula. The apartments
are simple but enough to stay in the Dominican Republic.
The apartments are a little green with wood, bamboo, bright colors
... I liked, my wife less!
