Description of the aquarium
The National Aquarium
in Santo Domingo to discover the flora and underwater fauna of the Dominican Republic. This is one of the largest aquariums
in the Caribbean, is situated on the Caribbean Sea, the National
Aquarium offers many basins that allow visitors to discover the
aquatic fauna of the Caribbean Sea.
Many species of fish and marine animals are presented with explanatory
panels (in Spanish). You will see the sea turtles, moray, sharks,
lobsters ... and all sorts of colorful fish.
Outside, the Aquarium has a shaded park with benches, an area with
children's playground overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
The National Aquarium in Santo Domingo is an attraction
for tourists than for nationals who come to spend a part of the
day in the park after the visit.

How to go to the aquarium
The Aquarium is located in
Santo Domingo, Avenue of Spain along the Caribbean Sea. Free parking
is available.

Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and holidays.
Prices (04/2012) for nationals: RD $ 60.00 for adults, RD $ 40 for
children under 12 years.
Prices (04/2012) for foreigners: RD $ 100.00 for adults, RD $ 75
for children under 12 years.
