Presentation of aparthotel in Bayahibe
In October 2012 we went to
Bayahibe and we stayed at the Aparthotel Villa
Baya that offers apartments and budget accommodations
located Tamarindo street in the center of the village within 400
meters from the beach.
It is well placed close to all amenities, restaurants, bars, groceries,
in a quiet place. Everything can be done on foot, even up to Domimicus,
about 5 kms, taking the small trail along the coast from the baseball
field to Dominicus.
Bayahibe is well located for touring the Caribbean coast of the
Dominican Republic, with the new highway it is easy to go to the
capital, Santo Domingo
and Punta Cana either by car or guagua.
Reminder: With La Romana is the starting point for excursions to
the islands Saona and Catalina.
Villa Baya
Villa Baya
is composed of four buildings, the first located at the entrance
houses the reception and restaurant (closed when we're gone) and
the other three apartments and rooms. Everyone has the name of the
neighboring islands, Saona, Catalina and Catalina. They are positioned
around the parking.
Rooms are air conditioned, with internet and a bathroom, the apartments
have a kitchen, a seating area and a terrace for those who are last
floor.
Note that there is no pool, they organize excursions and can provide
transfer from the airport.
Our review on the stay
We stayed in a small air-conditioned apartment with one room with kitchenette, two single beds, a table with two chairs, television and closets. The bathroom is separate. The studio was simply furnished with the bare necessities for a stay in Bayahibe. During our stay we took the opportunity to visit Alto de Chavon, Boca de Yuma and Boca de Chavon.
Conclusion
Villa Baya is well located
in the village, close to everything, no car needed to walk in Bayahibe.
The apartments are simple but enough for a little vacation.
It is a cheap accommodation in Bayahibe for travelers on a budget
and who want to visit nearby Bayahibe and freely.

Rooms basic but clean, nice hotel to spend a few days in Bayahibe. Conveniently located in the center of the village, in a quiet place.
