Sea kayaking is a well-developed leisure activity in the Dominican Republic.
Many excursion agencies offer this activity whether at sea, in mangroves, in lagoons or in rivers. The excursion is supervised by an experienced local guide who comments on the visit and explains the flora and fauna. The excursion is often half a day, sometimes a full day with provision of the meal.
